SELF
Q. Tell us something about you – your philosophy, your lifestyle, your ethics, your hobbies etc
A. I’m a proud older mother of two fabulous boys; husband John and I have been together for 34
years. We are very lucky to live a quiet, happy life on the gorgeous Mornington Peninsula. I love sharing a good
meal with friends, and spending time strolling along the beach with the boys and our dog.
BUSINESS DETAILS
Q. What is it that your business does?
A. We help older people avoid loneliness and engage in their lives and have fun. I encourage them to
learn to use a computer to keep in touch with family and friends, and grow their interest in many things.
Q. What makes your business unique?
A. Our service is in-home, where our clients are comfortable. And we have ongoing support via our
membership site, so they are not left stranded. And there is no jargon – just plain English.
MARKETING
Q. What is the most important Marketing/Networking tool/strategy your business has had success with?
A. Press release. I have sent several over the years. The most success was when I published my book
our local paper wrote about that and I received many new clients and leads from that article. And in oct 2011 the
Green Guide had an article on The Web on Wheels computer coaching and our iPad classes.
SUPPORT
Q. What is it you are looking for as a member of HBBA?
A. Mostly I like to connect with other business people, so I don’t feel isolated. Also by being
involved wherever possible in forums etc, I try to keep abreast of what’s happing in the business world.
Q. What is it you can offer to HBBA members? (above and beyond the normal product or service that you
sell)
A. I would be delighted to help if people have a basic computer query, or need help working out how
to do something on their computer. Sometimes figuring out the smallest task can be the most frustrating, as it
often stops completing a bigger job.
