SELF
Q. Tell us something about you – your philosophy, your lifestyle, your ethics, your hobbies etc
A. Previously from the UK, I’ve been living with my husband and 7 year old daughter in Ashwood for 11
years. I love the Australian lifestyle, the generous spirit of its people and their “give it a go”
attitude. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, working out at the gym and potter in the
garden when the weather is good. I’m a great cake maker and eater, a cat lover and wish I had more time to
devote to green issues for the sake of my daughter and future generations.
BUSINESS DETAILS
Q. What is it that your marketing and promotions business does?
A. We produce websites, write and edit marketing copy for a range of promotional material, write
feature articles, news stories, annual reports, etc, and produce and implement public relations plans to help
businesses get media exposure. Our prime objective is to help businesses promote themselves effectively to
their target market without spending a fortune.
Q. What makes your marketing and promotions business unique?
A. Our personal service and attention to detail. We make sure you are 100% happy with
the work we do. We are into creating relationships and spend time getting to know about you and your business
before starting work together.
MARKETING
Q. What is the most important Marketing/Networking tool/strategy your marketing and promotions business has
had success with?
A. Without a doubt, social media. It’s important to use as many avenues as possible to get
your business “out there” because you never know what opportunities will come your way. I recently got some
work from an old colleague I worked with in the UK over 13 years ago who found me on Facebook.
SUPPORT
Q. What is it you are looking for as a member of HBBA?
A. To share ideas, offer support and hopefully create working relationships with other members.
Q. What is it you can offer to HBBA members?
A. My expertise and advice on anything related to marketing communications. Also to share
successes which may inspire others because it’s hard work running your own business!
Q. How do you envisage demonstrating your support and loyalty to the association of HBBA?
A. Participate in forums and networking events wherever possible.
