SELF
Q. Tell us something about you – your philosophy, your lifestyle, your ethics,
your hobbies etc
A. I am a mother of two under 4, and
have worked for myself since completing year 12. I was 19 when I started my dog grooming salon, 15 years later I am
amazed at where it has taken me; association director, teacher, award winner and successful mum. I have a passion
for helping others achieve their goals.
BUSINESS DETAILS
Q. What is it that your dog grooming business does?
A. Dog grooming salons don’t just
wash your dog; we also style, colour and clip pet dog’s hair. And within each dog grooming service we include a
general coat and skin health check, cut and file nails, finishing with a fragrance of your choice for a perfectly
groomed dog.
Q. What makes your dog grooming business unique?
A. We were the first Australian Dog
Grooming salon to do mudpacks for dogs, but mainly I would hope it’s our ongoing customer service and invaluable
advice and support to our clients. We also hold dog grooming workshops, VIP nights, pet photography days, along
with the many charity events we have held over the years, most of these held at our dog grooming
salon.
MARKETING
Q. What is the most important Marketing/Networking
tool/strategy your dog
grooming business has had success with?
A. Our “Once a Month Club” rewards
those customers who book their dog in every 1 to 6 weeks on a recurring basis for the year ahead.
Every month they
receive a different reward, be it a treat for their dog or themselves or a free add on service.
SUPPORT
Q. What is it you are looking for as a member of
HBBA?
A. Somewhere to share ideas and
network with businesses in a similar situation.
Q. What is it
you can offer to HBBA members?
A. I can offer many
ideas that worked for my dog grooming business and help other change these ideas to suit their
business
Q. How do you envisage demonstrating your support and loyalty to
the association of HBBA? A. Unsure of the
options but I’m sure I will find a couple.
