SELF
Q. Tell us something about you – your philosophy, your lifestyle, your ethics, your hobbies etc
A. I have 2 children aged 8 and 6. My 8 year old daughter has mild Asperger’s – so I have a lot of things
I do for her at school and of course at home (getting homework and projects completed isn’t easy LOL). We are
pretty close to country here in Camden (about 1 hour drive south of Sydney if the M5 freeway isn’t too bad) and
love it. Something about me – well I’ve just started doing boot camp 2 or 3 times a week.
BUSINESS DETAILS
Q. What is it that your business does?
A. Deb-e-Secretarial and CoachesVA is a Multi-VA (virtual assistance) business in which we help businesses
(all sizes but predominantly solo, small to medium) with all their admin type tasks, like secretarial, databases,
spreadsheets, email management, website design, transcription etc. I outsource to my team but I love doing the PA
work.
Q. What makes your business unique?
A. What makes us unique is that we are a one-stop-VA-shop and have a team of ladies already checked and
tested for what they say they can do. So the job of finding someone is that much easier. What makes a virtual
assistant unique is that we are sourced to do the work if and when required.
MARKETING
Q. What is the most important Marketing/Networking tool/strategy your business has had success with?
A. Networking is about building relationships and after a while in business word-of-mouth seems to be the
most successful. I also know that participating in networking events like BNI are also very successful. I also
attend local chamber events and other local networking events. My goal for 2012 is to work on my social media.
SUPPORT
Q. What is it you are looking for as a member of HBBA?
A. Well more clients would be fabulous of course but learning and sharing is just as important and to
build on some relationships as well would be great.
Q. What is it you can offer to HBBA members? (above and beyond the normal product or service that you
sell)
A. I don’t have products to sell and offering a service for free can be a bit tricky but would be happy to
offer a free consultation via email or phone to discuss how I could assist and would be happy to offer an hour of
my time to do something for the first 10 who contact me (via email would be best as we go into holiday season so I
can monitor who comes in first).
